Prembly participated in DEVFUSION 1.0, a technology program organized by the FETUILS Tech Hub at the University of Ilorin, aimed at promoting innovation, collaboration, and hands-on tech learning for students and emerging professionals.
DEVFUSION 1.0, themed “An Ecosystem of Ideas, Innovation, and Impact,” featured a mix of bootcamp training sessions and a main conference day centered on real-world applications of technology across different fields.

As part of its engagement at the event, Prembly’s software engineer, Olanrewaju Abdulkabeer, delivered a session on “Cybersecurity for Tech and Non-Tech Professionals.” The session highlighted the growing risks in today’s digital environment and emphasized the need for cybersecurity awareness across all professions, not just technical roles.
He discussed common cyber threats such as phishing, weak passwords, public Wi-Fi vulnerabilities, and malware, while also referencing real-world incidents to demonstrate how easily individuals and organizations can be compromised through social engineering and human error.
Following the session, Prembly introduced its fraud detection game, an interactive experience designed to test participants’ ability to identify fraudulent patterns in real time. Students at the event actively participated in the challenge, which simulated real-world fraud scenarios in a gamified experience. The top seven participants were rewarded with cash prizes, reinforcing both awareness and practical understanding of fraud detection in digital environments.
The fraud detection game formed part of Prembly’s broader mission to make cybersecurity awareness more accessible, practical, and engaging, particularly among young digital users who are increasingly exposed to online risks.
